The first time I ate La Paz Batchoy was when I went to Iloilo for the first time back in 2000 and I’m glad I was able to ate the authentic one first before any other version and this one, from Bacolod Chk-n-BBQ House where we had a quick lunch yesterday, is really close.

Batchoy is a noodle soup made with pork organs, crushed pork cracklings, chicken stock, beef loin and round noodles. Its origins can be traced to the district of La Paz, Iloilo City in the Philippines, hence it is oftentimes referred to as La Paz Batchoy.(Source:Wikipedia)

Other than Shrimps, Mussels is one of the seafood that my eldest son likes to eat. From time to time,he would asked me to cook it. Back in Canada, it was very seldom because it’s not always available at our local grocery store, even at the Asian store where I used to go. Now that we are here, he can asked me anytime and there’s always the market that I can go anytime to buy it.

Other than Grilled, this is the only way I know how to cooked this. I used to use Spinach since there’s no Pepper leaves to buy in Canada, I have to think of an alternative, but not anymore .  Yes
